Alexia Smith is a qualified hypnotherapist, offering a professional and confidential service to clients in the Exeter, Crediton and Tiverton areas. Founded in 2007, the business is based in Mid Devon.

Alexia trained with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis, whose courses are accredited by Thames Valley University. She is a registered member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis and the General Hypnotherapy Register, who ensure high standards in the practice of hypnotherapy.

Hypnotherapy can help with many problems. Examples include, breaking habits like smoking, weight control, overcoming fears and phobias, stress and anxiety, resolving past traumas and events, depression, insomnia and confidence. Hypnotherapy techniques like regression, can also be used to explore past lives.

Hypnotherapy aims to create new inner beliefs, develop new resources and release unresolved emotional blockages. This can help clients to change the way they think, feel and behave.

Alexia currently runs three private practices in Devon; one in central Exeter and one in Tiverton and one in Crediton. She is also a resident hypnotherapist at Nu Beginnings in North Devon, which is Britain's first boutique weight loss boot camp.

In her sessions, Alexia combines hypnotherapy with techniques from psychotherapy, NLP, cognitive behavioural therapy and solution-focused brief therapy. She is trained in the use of EMDR, a ground-breaking technique used in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder. Alexia is a licensed practitioner of the hypno-band weight loss programme and specialises in issues surrounding weight control and anxiety.
